Strategic Plan WWF-Peru 2022-2030
The lives of the people who live in Peru and the country's development possibilities depend on nature. There will be no equitable or prosperous future if the climate is destabilized, Pacific fisheries resources are depleted, and the Amazon forest is brought to a point of no return. We need to move towards scenarios with lower carbon emissions and prioritize the conservation of the enormous natural wealth we have.
This Strategic Plan was built participatory with the entire WWF-Peru team. In addition, through multiple spaces for reflection and analysis, meetings, workshops and discussions, we listened to and collected the views, ideas, and concerns of indigenous peoples, local communities, civil society organizations, the private sector, and institutional representatives of the Government.
It outlines the path to conserve, recover and strengthen our priority landscapes: the Peruvian Amazon and Pacific. These are fundamental to achieving our proposed goals in an environment as diverse and challenging as the Peruvian one. Meanwhile, our organizational development plan focuses on establishing the right conditions and fostering a management culture that will improve our effectiveness.
