In order for people and nature to live in harmony, it is essential to maintain healthy ecosystems. However, unplanned human activities cause wildlife imbalance and deplete natural resources.

It is vital to prevent the decline of biodiversity, and to do so, actions that promote sustainable development and the involvement of local actors in conservation must be implemented. Understanding the importance of keeping nature connected and the benefits it brings to all living beings is a first step in developing environmentally friendly practices in our daily activities.
Learn more about this process, known as “ecological connectivity”, through infographics and videos developed by WWF. Learn about its importance, benefits, threats and the actions we are taking to promote connectivity in the Amazon.
