Wood doesn´t grow in stores

 

 Did you know that humans are now consuming 50% of the resources the planet can produce sustainably? We are living as if we have a planet earth and a half when in fact we only have one.

We have become a consumer society in which we do not stop for a second to look at what happens around us. Nevertheless, for already several years, we are becoming more aware, we have realized that if we continue like this we will end up the world and leave nothing for future generations. That is why people are already looking to have a strong economy, which should be friendly with the environment, meaning a Green economy.

According to the United Nations Programme on Environment a Green economy results in a better quality of life for people and social equity, while reducing significantly environmental risks and ecological damage.
In other words, this means economic growth and more employment from public and private investments that reduce pollution and emissions, make better use of resources and ensure our biodiversity’s conservation.
And how does this affect you?

EVERY DAY we make decisions, how we go from one place to another, what we eat, how much energy we use and how, what we buy, where it comes from, etc… And these small everyday decisions generate together BIG changes in the world.

Let’s decide to make better decisions; the power of change is in our hands.
Let’s think about it, inform ourselves and give an example.
